Sinopse
Vou-me plantar à tua porta até que me cresçam raízes... A transferência entre mim e o outro, metonimicamente representado através do processo de germinação de cebolas.
Neste vídeo o observador é confrontado com uma imagem sub-aquática. Detalhes de raízes debaixo de água em plena borbulhescência são rodeadas por sons longínquos de portas que se abrem e fecham. Fragmentos de um discurso amoroso vindos de quem tenta comunicar entre si próprio e o outro de uma forma amorosa.
Mas o amante, o enamorado (eu e o outro) está constantemente a tirar novas medidas, está sempre a questionar-se a si próprio... Estes fragmentos de discurso amoroso são o que Roland Barthes chamaria de figuras, considerando-as não narrativas e considerando o discurso amoroso como não dialéctico. “Quantas vezes ouvimos frases como esta “Não sabia onde tinha a cabeça para me deixar apaixonar por ele”...

In this video the observer is confronted with one sub aquatic image. Details of roots under water, surrounded by distant sounds of opening and closing doors. Fragments of an amorous discourse from who tries to communicate between himself and the other in an amorous way. But the lover, me and the other is always measuring, is always questioning himself… This fragments which Roland Barthes would call of figures, considering them non-narratives and at the same time considering the amorous discourse as non-dialectical.

Cebolas foram escolhidas pela presença, pelo abusivo e intrusivo cheiro. A sua presença ficou no meu corpo dois dias.
54 segundos (duração do vídeo) foi o tempo que levou uma lágrima a chegar do meu olho à minha boca.
This video deals with the presence concept. I took the principal character in the role. I was the one who was going to cry as when Roland Barthes makes reference to the amorous suffering, to the volubility.
The presence of the other in me.
Onions have been chosen by their presence, their intrusive and abusive smell. Their presence stayed in my body for two days.
54 seconds, the time a tear took from my eye to my mouth.

Inocência, em termos disponibilidade para experienciar sentimentos, sensações, deixando de parte posições de defesa, de suspeição. A magia dos afectos. O primeiro plano da minha mão que dança ao som de piano.
I’ve been exploring sensations, recording movements of my body. In this video, I’m appealing to innocence through movement and sound. Innocence, in terms of being available to experience feelings, sensations, loosing the defensive and suspicious positions, being available to experience feelings, emotions, the other.
The magic of affections. My hand dances while we can listen piano music.

On display unusual and beautifully crafted installations. The artists take inspiration from the everyday, transforming their subjects using traditional techniques in unexpected ways. Works include a scattering of life-like weeds and plants 'growing' around the gallery, all skillfully hand-carved from wood; an apparently paint-splattered table which has been inlaid with mother of pearl; a seven metre high crimson cascade made using traditional Chinese paper-cutting methods.

It was Ronja who presented me to this wonderful piece and since then it became part of my universe... it's amazing!! ... even me that don't know anything about music.... started to play something melodic...This is a truly delicate sounding instrument. Imagine going into a secret room that nobody but you knows about, a place where your soul can be renewed as you surround your mind and heart with mystical beauty. Thats what playing this instrument feels like!
The Sansula is tuned to the A minor chord, with a second and a minor 6 thrown in. This tuning is a double-edge sword - you will not be able to play any songs you might think of playing on it, but on the other hand, EVERYTHING you play will have a unique mystical and haunting beauty, whether you know anything about music or not.
The coolest thing about the Sansula is the way it produces the "wah wah" sound. The wah is produced by covering and uncovering the sound holes to change the resonant frequency of the sound box. The Sansula is mounted on the head of a small drum which serves as the resonant cavity, and the resonance is altered when you hold it firmly against a flat surface or if you tilt it off of that surface. (Please don't beat on the drum, as this instrument is very delicate and will break if you misuse it.) So, you get the wah-wah effect by lifting it up and putting it back down on a table, or a board or book on your lap.

"The Pearce Sisters" foi um dos vencedores do Grande PrémioNatacha Palma"The Pearce sisters", de Luis Cook (Reino Unido) e "Madame Tutli-Putli", de Chris Lavis e Maciek Szczerbowski (Canadá), são os vencedores do Grande Prémio Cinanima 2007.

Os dois filmes, que também foram contemplados, entre outros, com o Prémio RTP2 - Onda Curta, foram os preferidos entre as 63 obras que estiveram a concurso na competição internacional da edição deste ano do Festival Internacional de Animação de Espinho, que termina hoje.
"Cândido", de José Pedro Cavalheiro, mais conhecido por Zepe, arrecadou o Prémio António Gaio, para o melhor filme português, e ainda o Grande Prémio Tobis. Saliente-se que "Cândido" e "Cães marinheiros", de Joana Toste, foram os dois únicos filmes portugueses seleccionados para a lista da competição internacional.Ainda no que respeita à produção lusa, o filme "Um mundo melhor", realizado por crianças das oficinas da ANILUPA (na categoria realizadores com menos de 18 anos) e "Yulunga", de Cristiano Mourato (na categoria de realizadores com mais de 18 anos) foram os vencedores do Prémio Jovem Cineasta Português.O Prémio Especial de Júri contemplou "Le loup blanc", de Pierre-Luc Granjon (França).O galardão para a melhor curta-metragem coube a "The dress", filme de Jelena Girlin e Mari-Liis Bassovskajá, da Estónia, enquanto o prémio para a melhor média-metragem foi para o filme dinamarquês "Down the road", de Rune Christensen."Le tueur de Montmartre", de Borislav Sajtinac (França), foi considerada a melhor longa-metragem entre as cinco em competição.

Em breve de regresso a casa para o Cinanima, a convite do meu querido amigo Fernando Rocha, este ano vou figurar no quadro de júris do Festival Internacional de Cinema de Animação em Espinho! Estou ansiosa!! Um bom pretexto para voar até ao Porto...
Como já é habitual, o CINANIMA apresenta uma Secção Competitiva Internacional e uma Secção Não Competitiva Internacional. Assim, na Competição Internacional haverá seis sessões no concurso internacional de curtas e médias metragens e cinco sessões no concurso internacional de longas-metragens. A Competição Nacional contempla duas sessões: uma para o concurso Prémio António Gaio/ Prémio FNAC e uma outra para o Prémio Jovem Cineasta Português.
No que diz respeito à Secção Não Competitiva Internacional do Festival vamos poder contar com sessões Panorama (três), Retrospectivas e Mostras, das quais destacamos: um Best Of de filmes Noruegueses, uma selecção das obras de John R. Dilworth, um Programa especial designado "O Som da Animação", bem como uma Mostra de filmes de uma Escola de Cinema de Animação de Luzern (Suiça) e ainda uma outra de filmes japoneses da Open Art. Nesta secção vamos ainda exibir uma sessão com os filmes Premiados no CINANIMA 2006, bem como 5 sessões com o Palmarés desta 31ª Edição. À semelhança de anos anteriores, o Festival apresenta as habituais 10 sessões especiais destinadas aos alunos das Escolas Infantis e Primárias e outra dezena de sessões para os alunos das Escolas Secundárias.Durante o Festival serão organizados 2 workshops: um destinado a crianças e um outro de Banda Desenhada para um público mais especializado.

Co-editor of October journal and critic Hal Foster will discuss some key themes and preoccupations found in recent ‘relational’ and ‘post-relational’ art practices. This lecture will follow on, in part, from the preceding week’s, by curator Nicholas Bourriaud. Hal Foster is the Townsend Martin Professor of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University. His landmark 1983 edited The Anti-Aesthetic: Essays on Postmodern Culture identified the end of the modern era and the arrival of postmodernism. His other books include Convulsive Beauty, Design and Crime and Prosthetic Gods. He is also a regular contributor to London Review of Books, where he often focuses on contemporary architecture.
